Who do you follow?

"Who do you follow?" is one of the most common catch phrases in the world these days. Following, in this case, doesn't correspond with waiting in line or driving your car behind. "Who do your follow?" relates to the Twitter users you chose to accept content from and read their 140 character submissions.

The users I follow on Twitter are a mix of friends, family, journalists and celebrities. Their tweets are serious, educational, entertaining and sometimes down-right silly. Here are 12 users I follow, that you should check out as well.

@danecook - Dane Cook is a stand-up comedian and actor. He's starred in the films My Best Friend's Girl, Employee of the Month, and Good Luck Chuck. He's also been on Comedy Central Presents and The Late Show.

@chelsealately - Chelsea Handler is a comic, best-selling author, and actress who currently hosts Chelsea Lately, a late-night comedy show on the E! network.

@richardbranson - Richard Branson is an entrepreneur and the founder of Virgin Airlines. His tweets provide insights about business and entrepreneurship.

@dmscott - Veteran marketer David Meerman Scott is the author of several books including The New Rules of Marketing & PR.

@mcuban - Mark Cuban is the Chairman of HDNet and the owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA team. Mark tweets about business, referees and lifestyle issues.

@TEDchris - Chris Anderson is the curator of the annual TED conference .

@Jack - Jack Dorsey is the Chairman of Twitter.

@The_Real_Shaq - Shaquille O'Neal is the King of Twitter. His tweets helped put Twitter on the map, even if they are often misspelled. Shaq can be a polarizing figure, but he won a lot of people over with his down-to-earth humor and accessibility. He's definitely worth a follow.

@mortreport - ESPN's Christ Mortensen tweets about what's happening in the NFL.

@johncmayer - Singer/songwriter John Mayer is a prolific Twitter user posting tweets about music, relationships, and underwear.

@wilw - Best known for the role of Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: the Next Generation, Wil Wheaton has become well known for his passion for all things tech.

@ginatrapani - Gina Trapani is a writer and blogger who founded LifeHacker.com.
